Bridging China to Global Halal Markets

On 14 September 2025, the HQC team led by Dato’ ChM. Hj. Khairul Shahril, Chief Executive Officer of HQC, together with Mr. Eddie, General Manager for International Trade, met with Ms. Bebe Zhao, President of the China-ASEAN Mercantile Exchange (CAMEX), and Mr. Philip Chong, Marketing Director, at the CAMEX office.

The meeting, a follow-up from the first visit in July 2025, focused on potential collaboration between HQC and CAMEX in providing halal consultation and trade assistance for CAMEX’s clients in China.

Among other matters discussed was the opportunity for CAMEX to provide an exposure platform for Malaysian enterprises through their Halal Pavilion showcase, creating greater visibility and market penetration in China.

Beyond halal certification advisory, the discussions also covered trade facilitation, marketing, and promotion support to connect Chinese businesses with Malaysia and other global halal markets.

This marks another step forward in strengthening HQC’s role as a trusted partner in advancing international halal trade and market access.
